Highwood River
Straight out of the Rockies
This Highwood River spills out of the Highwood Pass and has been known for its devastating water levels during the floods in the last 10 years. But with a fishing population rebounding it offers great secluded fishing thru the middle stretches from Longview down stream. Try to keep the Rainbows off your line while we float either a half or full day trip. The scenery is surprising with many wildlife opportunities as well.

This river is best fished from mid July on, after the waters clear up, to as late as possible for floating the water. Our rafts can float down surprisingly low water flows extending the ability to get into the hopper season while floating.

As a tributary to the Bow River you can expect to predominately find rainbow and cutthroat thru the spring and summer with bull trout frequenting these waters later into the season.
